Australia
Destination Guides

Overview
Australia is a vast, diverse country with friendly locals,
thriving cities, spectacular sights and all in all, something
for everyone. Accommodation ranges from the luxury to budget,
and no matter what the time of year, there is always somewhere
in Australia at its prime.
The major southern cities are best experienced in spring and
autumn, though even the summers and winters are pleasant. Queensland
and the Northern Territory can be a bit hot in summer, and in
the tropical north, the summers get very wet, so you may find
the winter more comfortable. Tasmania is beautiful, but the
mercury drops to chilly levels in winter, and for a trip to
this island, summer may be optimal. Travelling within cities
can be accomplished by public transport or car hire, but, as
the major centres are vast distances apart, be prepared to fly
between distant locations.
The Gold Coast is home to the tourist hotspot Surfers’
Paradise. A beautiful beach, thriving nightlife and fantastic
shopping make this a must-visit location.
Brisbane, Perth and Adelaide are charming cities with their
own distinct features. Experience the laid-back Queensland lifestyle,
the booming West, or the beauty of Adelaide, surrounded by world
class wineries.
